Job Description
Quality Assurance / Test Engineer
The QA/Test Engineer ensures all system enhancements, upgrades, and integrations meet mission and performance requirements before release. This role develops detailed test plans, executes manual and automated test scripts, and documents test results. Responsibilities include regression testing, functional and non-functional testing, defect tracking, and coordination with developers and analysts to ensure issues are resolved. The QA Engineer also works with end users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles, ensuring that deployed capabilities meet operational needs. This role ensures that quality is embedded into the software lifecycle, reducing downtime and mission impact.
Education and Experience
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or related field.
3–5 years of QA or software test engineering experience.
Experience creating automated test frameworks and executing regression cycles.
Tools/Software: ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF), Selenium, JIRA, Zephyr, HP ALM.
Training and Certifications:
ISTQB or equivalent testing certification is desirable.
Security Clearance:
Active TS/SCI and the willingness to sit for a polygraph, if needed
