Job Description
Senior Principal Cyber Systems Engineer:
IC-CAP is looking for a highly motivated Systems Engineer to join our diverse team. The candidate will work within a cross-functional Scrum team and will be responsible for creating and maintaining system requirements, designs, and documentation, and participating in integration activities with the DevSecOps team. This position will require significant time working in the Herndon SCIF, up to 5 days/week during integration and security assessment.
Responsibilities:
Create and maintain system requirements, designs, and documentation
Become an expert on the system - the tech lead's backup and error check on systems knowledge
Attend meetings for related projects, developing an understanding of those projects’ systems, taking notes, and sharing relevant details with the team
Stand in for the tech lead in meetings as needed and be able to represent the project and explain the system's functional and performance requirements and CONOPS
Participate in systems integration and testing on multiple networks during deployment with the DevSecOps team
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of relevant experience OR a Master’s degree with 7 years of relevant experience OR a PhD with 4 years of relevant experience; an additional 4 years of experience maybe considered in lieu of the degree requirement
Experience creating requirements and designs for DoD systems
4+ years experience working with Linux based systems
DoD Approved Clearance and Poly
Desired Qualifications:
Security Plus CE or equivalent certification
Systems Administration experience
DevSecOps experience
2+ years of experience with scripting languages, such as Bash and Python
2+ years of experience with compiled languages, such as Java and C
Experience with XML schema and relational database maintenance, preferably Postgres
Experience with developing, deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting Cloud-based software solutions
Experience with AWS Cloud
Cross-domain Experience
