Job Description
Part-Time Facility Security Officer (FSO)
IC-CAP is seeking an experienced Facility Security Officer (FSO) for an immediate, part-time opportunity. The FSO will be responsible for supporting the company’s industrial security program and ensuring compliance with applicable federal security requirements.
Schedule: Part-time; schedule to be coordinated based on program requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced FSO who is looking for a part-time position and can start immediately. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply with an updated resume highlighting their FSO and security experience.
Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain the company’s personnel and facility security programs.
Process and maintain security clearances and personnel security records.
Manage security documentation, records, and required reporting.
Support security clearance processing, investigations, and periodic reinvestigations.
Maintain compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and applicable DoD security requirements.
Utilize DISS and other security databases and systems as required.
Coordinate with government security personnel, Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), and other security stakeholders.
Maintain appropriate security procedures and ensure personnel understand and comply with security requirements.
Support classified information protection and overall facility security.
Perform other FSO/security-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Previous experience working as an FSO supporting a cleared defense contractor or government organization.
Working knowledge of NISPOM and industrial security requirements.
Current DISS access is required, as well as experience with DISS and personnel security processes.
Current Scattered Castles access is required.
Ability to independently manage FSO responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and classified information appropriately.
References required regarding security processes.
