We have an immediate opening for a Toponymist well-versed in Chinese-Mandarin at NCE in Springfield, VA!  The position requires a current TOP SECRET security clearance with active SCI access.  A CI Polygraph is required, but the candidate may start work and schedule the polygraph within the first 30 days.

Journeyman Toponymist (Chinese - Mandarin)
 

This position will not require knowledge of GeoMedia PRO, the GeoNames Database (GNDB) or BGN

 

Responsibilities Include:

Using open-source research, create and execute effective research plans and collaborate closely with customers to ensure open-source collection requirements are met in an accurate and timely fashion.

 

  • Advising customers and management on collection issues

  • Recommending options to improve collection

  • Participating in current and future systems architecture development and new tools evaluation.

  • The individual will be required to participate and present at internal and external working groups and attend meetings and conferences involving the open-source community.

Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of work experience.

    Must meet the DLPT IV 2/2 Reading/Listening criteria.  For any selected candidate, the teammate will be required to present current (within the last two years) language testing results that verify the DLPT IV 2/2 or equivalency
