Microsoft SCCM Engineer, Senior
Job Description:
Analyze user requirements, the concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications and implement solutions using Microsoft SCCM. Analyze system requirements and lead design and development activities for enterprise software deployments and security fixes. Guide users and junior technical staff in formulating requirements, advise alternative approaches, conduct feasibility studies, and provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations and develop system architecture and system design documentation. Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans. Interact with the client regarding systems engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts. Maintain responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the systems engineering area of responsibility and communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
Requirements:
-Experience with designing, deploying, managing, and configuring Microsoft SCCM and SCOM 2012
-Experience with deploying and managing enterprise solutions for desktop workstations and OS software packages
-Experience with systems administration and engineering, including maintaining high systems availability and secure systems posture, such as patching and maintenance
-TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
-HS diploma or GED and 10 years of experience with IT, AA or AS degree and 8 years of experience with IT, BA or BS degree and 6 years of experience with IT, or MA or MS degree and 4 years of experience with IT
-DoD 8570 Baseline Security Certification, including Security+, CASP, CISSP, or CISM or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
Desired:
-Experience with deploying, configuring, and managing enterprise configuration and application management solutions using Microsoft SCCM
-Experience with the management and operational use of systems monitoring tools, including Solarwinds, Splunk, or Microsoft SCOM
-Experience with developing deployment, configuration, and reporting solutions using Microsoft PowerShell
-Experience with analyzing and enhancing operational procedures and new innovative solutions to address current and emerging IT challenges
-Knowledge of ITIL change management and problem management best practices
-Ability to work independently and as a team member to solve difficult technical challenges on a global scale
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-Possession of excellent team collaboration skills
-BA or BS degree in CS, Computer Engineering, or Network Engineering
-MCTS: Administering and Deploying System Center 2012 Configuration Manager Certification
-MCSA or MCSE Windows 2012, 2012R2, or 2016 Certification
-ITIL v3 Foundations Certification
