Job Description

Systems Engineer (Mid-Level):



Overall Assignment Description:  




Job Requirements:  


  • Experienced in working with NGA and/or the geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) community and

  • familiar with Request for Changes (RFCs) processes.

  • Skills and trained in the areas of Digital Engineering (DE); AutoCad, Confluence, Remedy, JIRA (managing Kanban Boards daily), Greenhopper, Microsoft Project, Visio, Oracle, Unix, ATM, SONET, Financial Management, Project Management, Telecommunications, JMAAT, CED/CEM, Relational Rose, Popkin System Architect, Netviz Network Design Visualization Tool, (JMAAT, CED/CEM) Joint Mission Architecture Analysis Tool.

  • Support action items related to program management in terms of schedule and performance.

  • Knowledgeable with integrating commercial/national data and analytic software tools for Electronic Light Tables (ELTs) such as RemoteView (RV), SOCET, GEOINT Catalog Enterprise (GCE), GXP Xplorer, and Mensuration Service Program (MSP) via end-to-end processes.

  • Account management for access to NGA tools such as password reset, account renewals, or new user registration or access issues in coordination with NGC and GSP.

  • Experienced as technical monitor to assist with the shipment and logistics of IT hardware and software, specifically to OCONUS sites using DCS for classified shipments.

  • Supports Configuration Management (CM) documentation of Interface Capabilities Documents (ICDs), System Requirement Documents (SRDs), System Architectures (SV/OV), Standards of Operations (SOPs), Statement of Capabilities (SOCs), Solutions Epics, Users/System CONOPs, and other policy/protocol items including records management.

  • Knowledgeable of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/MIL) capabilities to help drive future requirements and engineer environment conducive to analytic frameworks for GEOINT data.

  • Proficient with calculating bandwidth for data throughput, data storage, communication lines services, IT networks, and cloud-based service architectures for operations.



Skills and Experience:




Required:


  • Mid-level experience in government or industry in relevant work areas including: DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process or system engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture/Cloud environments.

  • Mid-level experience system engineering experience in government or industry.

  • Experience communicating and collaborating both within and external to organization.  




Highly Desired:


  • Working knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools and languages.

Education and Experience:


  • 6+ to 12 years' experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Systems Engineering or in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program, or equivalent Mid-Level Systems Engineer work experience.
