Job Description
System Engineer Level 3 with DevOps experience to join our diverse team at our Herndon, VA, office. The candidate will work within a cross-functional Agile scrum team and will be responsible for integrating and troubleshooting deployed systems, working both locally and at deployment sites. The selected candidate will travel to multiple CONUS and OCONUS sites to participate in deployment and integration with external systems, performance testing, and DoD assessment/acceptance tests. This position is on-site. The candidate should be willing to spend up to 50% of their time traveling and working at deployment sites. While not traveling, the candidate will participate in requirements gathering, deployment and testing of containerized systems running in Kubernetes, and assisting the Information Assurance team in maintaining security paperwork.
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience OR a Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience; an additional 4 years of experience maybe considered in lieu of a degree requirement
Security+ or equivalent certification and willingness to serve as a privileged user and systems administrator
TS/SCI with current CI poly.
3-5 years administering Linux or other UNIX-based systems
2 years administering AWS cloud systems
2 years working with DevOps or DevSecOps teams in deploying and troubleshooting container-based systems
3-5 years creating and maintaining shell scripts, to include bash and Python
Preferred Qualifications:
2 years administering Kubernetes (Red Hat OpenShift or another variant)
Familiarity with NiFi
Requirements management
Maintaining systems documentation
Familiarity with the DoD Risk Management Framework and systems assessment and accreditation process
Education and Experience:
A Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience OR a Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience; an additional 4 years of experience maybe considered in lieu of a degree requirement.
Security Clearance:
Active TS/SCI and the willingness to sit for a polygraph, if needed
