Job Description
SharePoint Developer Level 5 work depends on a SharePoint Engineer joining our team to support Government activities in Washington, D.C., Annapolis Junction, MD, or Sterling, VA. As a SharePoint Engineer supporting the Government, you will be a part of a team charged with engineering solutions which integrate SharePoint services with load balancing systems, enhances existing technologies, and provides a roadmap for the customer's future shared infrastructure.
Level 5:
Skills and Task - Exceptionally Complex, Inter-Discipline, Inter-Organizational: Can perform tasks of senior level technicians, specialists, and/or managers not performed at Level 4 due to the size and/or complexity of the tasks.
Leadership Management: May work individually or as a key member of a senior leadership team. Oversees and monitors performance across several disciplines, and when required, takes steps to resolve issues.
Guidance: Provides experts guidance and direction to Government and Vendor senior level technicians and managers. Directs multiple contractor and subcontractors teams through project completion.
Standard Characteristics:
Analyze user’s requirements, concept of operations documents, and high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications
Analyze system requirements and leads design and development activities
Guide users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies
Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology
Incorporate new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations.
Develop system architecture and system design documentation
Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans
Interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts
Responsible for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility
Communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives
In this role, a typical day may include:
Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems
Develops software design documents and technology white papers
Identifies, assesses, and presents options for meeting the functional and technical requirements for software updates and/or upgrades.
Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technolog
Incorporate new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations
Develops high-level SharePoint and standalone software applications using coding in back-end programming languages.
Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.
Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology and works with management to innovate solutions
What You'll Need:
Experience with SharePoint associated products, i.e. Designer, Visio, Infopath, Visual Studio, PowerShell etc).
Experience with a source-code editor such as Visual Studio Code, etc
Experience creating and maintaining SharePoint sites, including development
Experience in a backend programming languages, i.e. Python, JavaScript, Java, Perl, Ruby, C++, etc)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficient attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma + 14 years
Associate's Degree + 12 years
Bachelor's Degree + 10 years
Master's Degree + 8 years
PhD + 6 years
Training and Certifications:
IAT Level 2
Security Clearance:
Active TS/SCI and the willingness to sit for a polygraph, if needed
