Job Description
SCCM Engineer Level 4 designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems. Coordinates system development to include design, modeling, security, integration, and formal testing
Job Description:

Our work depends on a SCCM Engineer joining our team to support Government activities in Annapolis Junction, Maryland or Sterling, VA. As a SCCM Engineer supporting the Government, you will be a part of a team charged with engineering solutions for software deployment, patch deployment, configuration, IT baselines, importing & testing, etc. within the enterprise.
Level 4:
Analyze user’s requirements, concept of operations documents, and high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
Analyze system requirements and leads design and development activities
Guide users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies.
Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology
Incorporate new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations.
Develop system architecture and system design documentation.
Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans
Interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.
Responsible for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.
Communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives
In this role, a typical day will include:
Utilizing Microsoft SCCM to provide user workstation baseline configuration and administration of operating systems.
Identifying, analyzing, and resolving system problems with both short-term workarounds and long term solutions.
Writing PowerShell scripts to automate systems administration tasks.
Providing guidance and leadership to less-experienced systems engineers.
Utilizing SCCM to provide security updates, vulnerability patches, hotfixes, and other updates to user workstations and servers.
Developing and maintaining baselines images for servers and laptops to add the latest security updates, software versions, hotfixes, patches, etc.
What You Will Need:
Expert level facility with SCCM and WSUS
Solid understanding of VMware vCenter
Functional understanding of Microsoft SQL Server and Active Directory
Expertise in MDT and SCCM (capturing images (.WIM), creating packages, advertisements, task sequences, operating system deployment (OSD) and queries).
Familiarity with DISA STIGs for Windows operating systems
Expertise with IAVA process including RMF release process, testing, approval, and deployment processes
Solid knowledge of Active Directory Security Groups, OUs, DNS, and GPO management

AD+10 Yrs
BD+8 Yrs
MD+6 Yrs
PHD+4 Yrs
Training and Certifications:
IAT Level II
Desired Certifications:
Microsoft Software Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
Security Clearance:
Active TS/SCI and the willingness to sit for a polygraph, if needed
