Job Description
Targeting Automation Specialist 125-022
Position Description:
The contractor shall provide expertise of the assigned databasing systems (e.g. Joint Targeting Toolbox (JTT), MIDB), using detailed understanding of system connectivity and C2 utilities, such as Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System (JADOCS) and follow on systems. The contractor must have previous database systems experience. Once contractor personnel arrive for duty, they may be required to attend additional qualification training.
In support of this subtask, the contractor shall:
Ensure the program conforms to DoD functional policies and recommend automation requirements in support of basic, intermediate, and advanced target development and combat assessment.
Ensure SIPR and JWICS database replication is operational to support geographically dispersed organizations in quickly and efficiently sharing large files.
Maintain expertise in assigned databases and support the training center for related database courses.
Provide recommended input to DoD and CJCS Manuals/Instructions, USCENTCOM policies/SOPs, and standards for TM production as required.
Validate information, apply policy, and apply strategy expertise for new/existing problem sets in support of targeteers, warfighters, senior policy makers, internal client publications, and U.S. ICwide products.
Conduct database nominations, create/update database records, create/assign Basic Encyclopedia (BE) Numbers, and upload products into databases as required to support basic, intermediate, and advanced target development.
Review training materials and conduct OJT on assigned databases/systems for personnel as required.
Conduct Quality Control (QC) of target materials (including TCM, CDE, and weaponeering) produced by other analysts and work centers supporting USCENTCOM.
Maintain USCENTCOM/component database accounts, ensuring analysts have completed required training.
Respond to RFIs.
Prepare and present briefings as required.
This subtask may require flexible support hours outside the standard duty hours of 0730-1630, to include:
weekend support, TDYs, deployments for targeting operations, and support to 24/7 targeting operations.

Demonstrates in-depth knowledge and understanding of the labor category activities required to meet mission requirements.
Demonstrates mastery of qualitative and quantitative analytic methodologies and pursue developments in academia or other fields that affect tradecraft methodology.
Demonstrates ability to define comprehensive, new, or unique research approaches that enable rigorous assessments to address and contribute to high-level tasks.
Demonstrates in-depth analysis of analytic operations and knowledge management issues across organizational and intra-IC boundaries and clearly articulates key findings.
Demonstrates ability to work independently and with minimal oversight.
Demonstrates ability to review analytic products for cogent arguments, tradecraft standards, and adequate support for conclusions; routinely tests analytic rigor of analytic products.
Experience
Required: At least 8 years of experience conducting analysis relevant to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
Desired: Minimum 12 years of experience related to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
Education
Required: Bachelor’s degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Desired: Minimum Master’s degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education; or have Bachelor’s degree related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and an additional 5 years of related senior experience, for a total of 17 years, as a substitute to the Master’s degree.
