Job Description
Supply Logistics Technician:
Supports customer logistics requirements through the analysis, organization, planning, and administration of various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, maintenance, and/or repair activities. Performs functions such as demand forecasting, material procurement, production planning, inventory control, inventory reductions, cost savings, outsourcing, vendor selection and distribution. Creates integrated processes among internal functions and outside suppliers. Develops logistics policies and procedures. Performs clerical and manual tasks to maintain an inventory of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.
Job Description:
Contributes and may provide guidance to the completion of significant logistics projects.
Conducts and may provide guidance for the supplier audits, assessments and evaluations to ensure conformance to client's quality, cost and delivery performance
standards.
Performs demand forecasting, distribution planning, supply chain modeling and design. May provide guidance to less-experienced Logistics Analysts.
Resolves complex supplier quality issues and provides appropriate support for desired supplier capability.
Identifies complex logistics opportunities for process improvements, inventory reductions, and cost savings.
Writes and edits the logistics policy and procedures.
Supports customer logistics requirements through the analysis, organization, planning and administration of various phases of day-to-day inventory activities.
Acknowledges, documents, validates, and receives government property according to contractual and FAR requirements.
Executes inventory control efforts for company-owned and government-owned property.
Supports and executes annual inventory for assigned property.
Investigate inventory variances to correct on-hand carrying counts and identify root cause to recommend operational changes to eliminate future occurrence.
Perform quality assurance activities to ensure systematic inventories balance and align between disparate systems.
Follows established policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
Participates in special projects as required.
Requirements:
Must be capable of physical activity, including maneuvering around the building including comms closets, prolonged standing, repetitive bending, climbing, and lifting over 50lbs
