Job Description
Senior Principal Cyber System Engineer:
Performs systems engineering associated with designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing Big Data analytic systems for MARS using an Agile DevSecOps model
Collaborates with Government counterparts, Mission Owners, and analysts to identify requirements for MARS Big Data analytic systems
Identifies analytic algorithms and models that can be leveraged support those requirements (e.g., using AI/ML techniques)
Identifies and captures requirements, features, and user stories in JIRA (in collaboration with the Intelligence Analyst)
Documents architecture and system models using UML and/or SysML
Identifies, defines, and documents internal and external interfaces
Develops performance models to estimate, measure, and optimize performance using tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, and CloudWatch
Collaborates with the Training and Outreach team to update user training materials to incorporate new training requirements.
Senior Level:
Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
Plans and leads major technology assignments.
Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
May supervise others.
Experience:
9+ years Systems Engineering, Cloud Architecture, System Modeling, Microservice Architecture, Agile,
Bachelor of Science degree
Tools/Skills:
Systems engineering and architecture tools and processes (e.g., Sparx Enterprise Architect, Jira, UML/SysML)
Security Clearance:
TS/SCI with CI poly
