Journeyman Business Intelligence Analyst (Principal Intelligence Analyst):
Candidates will be working to support the transformation of all-source analysis with location-based object services. Visualizing and recreating the tools to assist analysts with protecting our nation.
Journeyman Level:
Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems. Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.
Position Description:
Designs,models, documents, and guides the logical and conceptual relationship of data and database changes for complex applications. Analyzes needs and requirements of existing and proposed systems, and develops technical, structural, and organizational specifications. May create standards and/or do modeling to monitor and enhance capacity and performance
Experience:
5+ Years’ experience
Bachelor of Science degree
Required Skills:
Contributes all-source analytic subject matter expertise to the MARS UI Scrum Team and serves as a liaison between the scrum team and the analyst community.
Engages with Mission Owners and analysts to identify potential enhancements, such as new and enhanced visualization techniques.
Captures and documents potential enhancements as user stories and features in the Agile backlog
Assists systems, database, and software engineers in translating and prioritizing mission requirements into technical requirements
Participates in software and system testing to provide an analyst perspective and to capture analyst feedback in the Agile backlog.
Participates in end-of-Sprint demonstrations with mission analysts to provide continuity between requested enhancements and capabilities to be delivered.
Collaborates with Training Team to incorporate new capabilities into online training materials.
