Job Description
Deployable Geospatial Analyst:
We have an immediate opportunity for a Deployable Journeyman Geospatial Analyst. This position is located at NCW, St. Louis, MO and does require OCONUS travel up to 50% of the time. The position requires a current TOP SECRET security clearance with active SCI access.
Role Overview:
Provide full spectrum GEOINT analysis in support of NGAs GPS Monitoring efforts. Geospatial Analysis services include extracting and/or acquiring geospatial information, derivative information and multi-INT data for analysis, visualization, and modeling to solve problems and enhance the GEOINT knowledge of mission-specific intelligence issues. This also includes extracting specific mission-related feature data in accordance with NGA data and product specifications and with respect to non-standard product requirements. The selected candidate will serve as the geospatial expert on a team of intelligence professionals. Responsibilities will include data collection from diverse sources, spatial analysis, model development, creation of maps/graphics for analysts and decision-makers, and deliver training courses and briefings. The position requires familiarity with a diverse array of GIS-related technology advanced knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems; proficiency in performing queries and manipulating geographically referenced data; ability to effectively plan and manage projects; and an ability to effectively communicate both orally and in written communication. Furthermore, must be capable to work in a team environment both independently and collaboratively to deliver actionable intelligence products.
Candidates must possess the following:
3+ years of experience with geospatial analysis
Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, database entry, and graphics design principles, ArcGIS, QT Modeler, the Integrated Exploitation Capability (IEC) system, RemoteView, or SocetGXP
Knowledge of digital cartography, image processing, computer technology, geographic information systems (GIS), geospatial production techniques, remote sensing, and photogrammetry
Knowledge of tools, including ArcSDE, ArcView, ArcIMS, ArcTools, SocetSet, TerraExplorer or Builder, ERDAS IMAGINE, or MRSID
Knowledge of an object-oriented programming or scripting language, including VB or VBA, and appropriate software used to analyze geospatial data, or commercial imagery, products, processes, and sensors, including Oracle
Ability to read and comprehend intelligence issues and military affairs and use GIS to develop geospatial intelligence reports and products that solve problems
Ability to deploy to Combatant Command AORs for up to 6 months
Ability to perform geospatial analysis and present results in the form of data sets, visualization, and models for inclusion in standard and formalized intelligence analysis products
TS/SCI clearance
HS diploma or GED
Candidates meeting ALL these requirements and possessing one or more of the following will rank higher for consideration:
Experience with the extraction of feature data using NTM, Mapping, Charting and Geodesy (MC&G) Stereo Imagery, Digital Point Positioning Database (DPPDB) or Orth Rectified Mono Equivalent, including Precise Terrain and Ortho Product (PTOP), Mr. Sid Orth Rectified Geotiffs (MSOG), Precise Orth Rectified Image Datasets (POl D), and Controlled Image Base (CIB)
Experience with identifying, compiling, and assessing geospatial and imagery data sets in support of requirements
Experience with a previous deployment
Experience in the military or with providing demonstrated support to military operations
Knowledge of the DoD tasking and collection process
Knowledge of the DoD and the intelligence community (IC)
Ability to create, update, and manage geospatial information system databases and products
Ability to conduct quality control checks without significant errors
Ability to use a variety of DoD specified digital data formats, including commercial imagery, panchromatic data, spectral data, and SAR and OPIR data
Possession of excellent customer service skills
Security Clearance:
TS/SCI clearance with the ability to pass a polygraph exam.
