Job Description
Senior Principal GIS Engineer:
Performs software engineering and development activities using an Agile DevSecOps model
Designs and implements geospatial enhancements such as geospatially-oriented data discovery and query (e.g., geographic search) using OGC geospatial services (e.g., OpenLayers, Cesium, Leaflet)
Develops services using modern techniques such as REST, Java, JSON, Spring, Python, Javascript frameworks (e.g., JQuery, Angular, React), and Docker
Uses processes and tools that support the DevSecOps pipeline including Jira, Git, Junit, Jenkins, SonarQube, Fortify, and Artifactory
Senior Level:
Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
Plans and leads major technology assignments.
Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
May supervise others.
Experience:
9+ years software engineering and development for GIS applications using Agile and DevSecOps,
Bachelor of Science Degree
Tools/Skills:
Esri Geospatial Services (e.g. ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server, Workflow Manager, Production Mapping extension), Java, JIRA, Git, Junit, web services
Security Clearance:
TS/SCI with CI poly
