Senior Information Security Analyst (Senior Principal Computer Systems Security Analyst):
Candidates will be working to support the transformation of all-source analysis with location-based object services. Visualizing and recreating the tools to assist analysts with protecting our nation. We also have positions available in Northern Virginia.
Senior Level:
Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. May supervise others.
Position Description:
Designs, tests, and implements state-of-the-art secure operating systems, networks, and database products. Conducts risk assessment and provides recommendations for application design. Involved in a wide range of security issues including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access. Uses encryption technology, penetration and vulnerability analysis of various security technologies, and information technology security research. May prepare security reports to regulatory agencies
Experience:
9+ Years’ experience
Bachelors of Science degree
Required Skills:
Computer Systems Security Analyst performs monitoring, reporting, and investigative activities associated with determining and enforcing enterprise compliance with the Customer’s data handling and usage policies and oversight requirements
Uses technical means such as log files (e.g., Splunk) and analytic warehouses (e.g., AWS Redshift) via Tableau to conduct research, analysis, and investigations of potential data compliance incidents and provide facts and evidence regarding data access and other compliance issues
Reports on dataset usage by dataset, data provider, tool, or compliance requirement
Conducts technical investigations and audits of IT systems and applications
Uses detailed technical information (e.g., from log files) to develop easily-understood investigative reports and provides them to appropriate Customer personnel
Provides Customer with input for use in periodic interagency reports and reviews reports for accuracy
Tracks and approves (or denies) user access requests for data IAW Customer SOPs and policies
Captures recommendations for streamlining and updating access procedures in updates to the Compliance Innovation Plan.
