Senior Computer Systems Analyst (Senior Principal AI Engineer Systems):
Candidates will be working to support the transformation of all-source analysis with location-based object services. Visualizing and recreating the tools to assist analysts with protecting our nation.
Senior Level:
Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. May supervise others
Job Description:
Incorporates AI into a system of system architecture and ensures development of AI-enabled systems that meet stakeholders¿ mission needs. Develops integration & test procedures, and verification and validation approaches; and develops system operations, sustainment, and maintenance plans and procedures. Creates and analyzes models of a system, with the goals of increasing understanding and searching for incompleteness and inconsistency. Adept at a range of AI development environments/tools (reuse, repository); expert/proficient with the environment being utilized. Applies knowledge from various disciplines to architect and design systems; includes neuroscience, behavioral science, engineering (systems, electrical, mechanical), computer science (distributed computing/programming), philosophy/phenomenology, physics, and mathematics. Uses emerging verification and validation approaches in addition to the traditional ones to test 1) multi-agent systems employing algorithms that produce ever-changing outcomes related to detection and decision, pattern recognition, and prediction, and 2) systems requirements definition for a new class of systems. Follows best practices throughout the Engineering Life Cycle: Stakeholder requirements definition, functional decomposition, design synthesis, implementation, integration, test, verification & validation, operations, and sustainment
Experience:
9+ Years’ experience
Bachelor of Science degree
Required Skills:
Systems engineer supporting the FISHNet scrum team
Performs systems engineering activities associated with supporting, maintaining, and enhancing FISHNet using an Agile DevSecOps model
Identifies and captures requirements in JIRA (in collaboration with the Intelligence Analyst)
Collaborates with Government counterparts and Mission Owners to identify potential new capabilities and enhancements to existing capabilities (such as analytic and visualization approaches)
Refines the FISHNet architecture as needed
Identifies and defines internal and external interfaces, and coordinates with external data owners (if needed) to obtain access to new data feeds
Develops or updates engineering artifacts
