Job Description
SME Instructor Intelligence Communications:
General Duties and Experience:
Delivers in-resident and distributed learning instructional programs in accordance with course requirements.
Uses instructional methods such as, guided discussions, lectures, demonstrations, small group exercises, seminars, workshops, and laboratories.
Uses instructional technology, including but not limited to Blackboard.
Conducts assessment strategy in accordance with the course design, including instructor observation, testing, and grading.
Provides formal and informal student feedback.
Provides subject matter expertise throughout the curriculum creation process, including content review and feedback to development staff.
Relevant instructional experience includes, but is not limited to, experience developing and delivering technical training and educational courses in academic, commercial, government, or industrial organizations.
Relevant subject matter expertise experience includes, but is not limited to, experience in technical field as described in the Instructor technical competency requirements by the work role.
Work Role:
Foundation Collection, Open Source Research, Requirements and Integration Analyst, Source Strategies Analyst, and Throughput Strategies Analyst
Desired degrees in one of the following: Cartography , Cultural Area Studies, Earth Science, Environmental Science, Geodesy Geography, Geology, Geographic Information Systems, Hydrography, Hydrology, Imagery Science, International Affairs/studies, Oceanography, Photogrammetry, Physical Science, Remote Sensing or related work experience.
The Candidate must meet the competency requirements in Applicable Document 9.13, Collection Competency Guides, for the respective Collection work role with skills at or higher than intermediate skills. Applicable Document 9.15 will indicate the required number and skill level of each Collection.
INSTRUCTOR:
Documented experience within the last 24 months solving intelligence problems and filling intelligence gaps through collection of airborne and space-borne imagery.
Documented experience creating and submitting requirements in GIMS or a similar tool within the last 24 months.
Intelligence Communications:
Experience with analyzing, interpreting, or instructing GEOINT supporting U.S. military and policymaker interest
Experience with GEOINT writing and briefing, Critical Thinking, Foundational GEOINT, Activity Based Intelligence, Human Geography, Geospatial Analysis, or Imagery Analysis
Knowledge of the national imagery exploitation processes, policies, production cycles, and principles of geographic information systems (GIS)
Knowledge of GEOINT products and service offerings
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in area of expertise plus three years of experience
Six years of relevant experience. The expertise must align with the work role.
Three years of relevant instructor experience.
