Quality Assurance Specialist:
Minimum 5 years of experience in 1) working with quality control methods and tools and verification and validation, software testing and integration, software metrics, and their application to software quality assessment; and expert knowledge of current validation requirements for process validation and computer system validation and overall demonstrated knowledge of system and project life cycles; 2) maintaining process for evaluating software and associated documentation; 3) examining and evaluating the software quality assurance process and recommend enhancements and modifications; 4) writing quality studies; reviewing and participating in the completion of various quality assurance related documents; 5) assisting with the conduct of information systems, information security, and software audits; 6) performing predefined testing procedures, validating software settings and configurations against guidelines; 7) designing and providing software metrics detailing requests received, statuses, risks, challenges and major release dates; 8) developing, and executing test plans and test cases based on design specifications and requirement; 9) interacting with software developers to perform root-cause analysis and preliminary problem diagnosis; 10) performing debugging procedures by reviewing configuration files, logs, or code pieces to determine breakdown source; 11) providing feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality; 12) developing standards, methods, and procedures to determine product quality and release readiness; 13) developing testing programs to address database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, and usability; 14) documenting software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers; 15) monitoring bug resolution efforts and track successes; and 15) installing and configuring recreations of software production environments to allow testing of software performance.
Bachelors Degree (Engineering or Computer Science preferred)
