Job Description
Network Administrator Advisor:
Maintains an organization's computer systems' workflows and is responsible for the upkeep, configuration and reliable operation of computer systems, including fixing
network issues along with updating equipment and software. Creates and administers profiles and accounts and maintains systems documentation. Tunes system
performance for optimal conditions. Installs system-wide software.
Level 3:
Skills and Task - Exceptionally Complex: Researches and evaluates new concepts and processes to improve performance. Analyzes cross-functional problem sets, identifies root causes and resolves issues. Assists more junior level technicians, specialists, and managers in their activities. Can perform all tasks of lower level technicians, specialists, and/or managers.
Leadership Management: Works individually, actively participates on integrated teams, and leads multiple tasks, projects or teams. Oversees and monitors performance, and when required, takes steps to resolve issues.
Guidance: Directs multiple teams through to project completion. Provides guidance and direction to lower level technicians, specialists, and managers.
Job Description:
Provides technical solutions in the management of software, hardware, configurations, changes, and architectures, including network control software,
routers, switches, lines, modems, adapters and servers.
Evaluates existing network systems to ensure network capacity meets current and future network requirements. Analyzes customer requirements to
determine optimal network solutions.
Monitors network performance and troubleshoots and resolves complex problems to maintain operating efficiency and ensure quality transmission service on
the network. Uses subject matter expertise to diagnose and solve issues and has authority to deviate from standard operating procedures.
Plans, installs and maintains network systems for multiple classifications.
May provide installation, maintenance and repair of network hardware and software.
Develops and/modifies process and technical documentation. Creates back-up procedures, test plans, and related reports.
Plans and diagrams the physical layout and location of devices and the connection between devices participating on the network.
Ensure change initiatives meet mission objectives on time and on budget
Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and frequently engage key stakeholders
Evaluates and recommends networking product and software upgrades.
Maintains operating efficiency and stability, and ensures the security and integrity of all systems and data.
May function in a "Tier 3" support role, resolving the most complex network issues escalated by Tier 2 support.
Provides guidance and leadership to less-experienced network personnel.
May serve as a team or task leader. (Not a people manager).

High School Diploma + 9 years
Associate's Degree + 7 years
Bachelor's Degree + 5 years
Master's Degree + 3 years
PhD + 0 years
Training and Certifications:
IAT Level 2
