Job Description
Integration Team Senior Principal Cyber System Engineer:
Performs systems engineering associated with designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing Big Data analytic systems for MARS using an Agile DevSecOps model.
Collaborates with Government counterparts, Mission Owners, and analysts to identify requirements for MARS Big Data analytic systems.
Identifies and captures requirements, features, and user stories in JIRA (in collaboration with the Intelligence Analyst).
Implements data policy enforcement across the architecture.
Identifies, defines, and documents internal and external interfaces.
Develops performance models to estimate, measure, and optimize performance using tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, and CloudWatch.
Collaborates with the Training and Outreach team (Subtask 2.1) to update user training materials to incorporate new training requirements.
Develops or provides technical input to engineering artifacts including Weekly Status Reports, System Design Documents, Test and Evaluation Master Plan, User Training Plans, Release Plans, Body of Evidence, and System Security Plan Updates.
Senior Level:
Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments.
Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
May supervise others.
Education & Experience:
9+ years systems engineering, cloud architecture, Agile,
Bachelor of Science Degree
Required:
Working knowledge of Linux Environments
Experience with Immuta and data policy enforcement
Experience with AWS services
Systems integration experience
Strong problem solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills
Experience with Git for Source Control
Understanding and willingness to work in a DevSecOps oriented environment with an
Infrastructure as Code mindset
Bachelor's Degree
Desired:
Basic understanding of an Object-Oriented Programming Language, preferably Java
Experience with developing, deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting Cloud-based software solutions
Experience with Chef, Ansible, or Terraform for automation and configuration
Experience integrating Jenkins and Docker for automated CI/CD pipelines
