Job Description
Functional Specialist Advisor FOIA PA Specialist Level 3:
Proactively provide non-inherently governmental support to all aspects of the FOIA/PA program to ensure NGA compliance with established procedures and timelines.
Duties include:
Support FOIA/PA program through use of the application on all platforms; produce and disseminate requested information; follow-up and finalize Consultations, Referrals, Appeals, Litigations, FOIA, and Privacy Act.
Prepare and recommend to FMP GPOC applicable restrictions or exemptions.
Gather, research, report, and collect metrics pertaining to the FMP GPOC upon request.
Attend/participate in all appropriate meetings and discussion as directed by the FMP GPOC relating to FOIA/PA process and procedures.
Draft and update standard operating procedures, at least annually, and as requirements change, in accordance with all pertinent executive orders, DoD/IC policy and NGA internal policies and provide findings to FMP GPOC for approval.
Complete DOJ and DOD training annually, or as required to remain current in all aspects of FOIA/PA.
Skills and Experience:
Required:
Minimum 7 years of experience supporting FOIA/PA program through use of applications on all platforms to include producing and disseminating requested information and finalizing Consultations, Referrals, Appeals, Litigations, FOIA, and Privacy Act requests.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Demonstrated experience in utilizing electronic databases to track, store, and process FOIA and Privacy Act requests in the IC, DoD or Federal Government.
Desired:
Possess a Master’s degree, or higher, in information management
