Job Description

Front-End Engineer (Splunk):



IC-CAP is seeking Splunk front-end engineers to support the Intelligence Community Security Coordination Center (IC SCC). The IC SCC is a federal cyber center with a mission to ensure the execution of defensive activities, coordinate security monitoring across the IC, and maintain awareness of security-related threats, events, and incidents.


This position will engineer, administer, and maintain a PKI web enabled community portal that effectively facilitates access to data, reports, analytics, capabilities, and communication to stakeholders.



As a member of the highly skilled Tools, Services, and Engineering Division, the tasks designated to the Front-End Engineer may include but are not limited to:


  • Design and develop a visually-pleasing, content rich, user-friendly interface with intuitive navigation.

  • Provide software process management and configuration management throughout the software /web development lifecycle.

  • Develop and maintain software and web development technical documentation to assist with software and web application maintenance and upgrades.

  • Support software and web architecture development, requirements analysis, process execution and evaluation, selection and evaluation of COTS/GOTS tools, and integration (with both new and legacy systems)

  • Interact with customers and development team to gather and define requirements.

  • Analyze and study customer requirements to determine the most effective software and web technologies to satisfy their needs.

  • Design, create, test, and maintain software and web based applications and content solutions to satisfy customer requirements.

  • Follows a formal design process using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, other accepted design techniques and also adheres to laws, standards, and established guidelines for development and delivery of software and web applications (e.g., software reuse, modifiable, efficient, reliable, understandable, fault tolerant)

  • Coordinates creation and collection of necessary technology components and integrate them into a coherent site design.

  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex software problems and provide solutions using the latest technologies.



Education and Experience:


  • HS/GED + 12 years

  • Associates Degree + 10 years

  • Bachelor’s Degree + 8 years

  • Master’s Degree + 6 years

  • PhD + 4 years



Qualifications:


  • IAT II Compliance required prior to onboarding. (At least one of the following: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP)

  • CSSP Infrastructure Support required prior to onboarding. (At least one of the following: CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, CND)

  • Demonstrated experience with a variety of internet technologies, techniques, and tools such as graphics software applications and object-oriented languages (e.g. Java, CGI, Visual Basic, HTML, XML)

  • TS/SCI
