Cybersecurity Threat Intelligence Specialist:
Will be responsible for ongoing efforts to identify, monitor, assess, and counter cyber threats. Document and escalate incidents as needed. Correlate information acquired from multiple sources. Provide summaries of network events and activities. Have a working knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities. Knowledge of IPS/IDS solutions. Knowledge of network protection, detection, response and recovery.
The qualified Personnel will be able to analyze alerts/security events/logs for threats such as computer viruses, exploits, and malicious attacks.
Use critical thinking to bring together information from multiple sources to determine if a threat is present.
Utilize knowledge of attack vectors and attack progression to perform root cause analysis.
Perform dynamic malware analysis to determine the exact nature of a threat.
A bachelor's degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience, OR;
An associate’s degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR;
A major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR;
11 years of recent specialized experience.
Training and Certifications:
Candidate must meet DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification requirements.
