Cyber Systems Engineer (Tanium) Level 4:
Responsible for strengthening the defensive posture and cyber defense operational readiness of an IT Enterprise, our Enterprise Cyber Network Defense (ECND) program defends and protects Government assets from external Cyber Security attacks and Insider Threats that can potentially cause or create data, systems, networks, and personnel vulnerabilities.
Skill Level 4:
Skills and Tasks: Exceptionally Complex, Inter-Discipline, Inter-Organizational. Can perform tasks of senior level technicians, specialists, and or managers not performed at Level 3 due to the size and/or complexity of the tasks
Individual Work / Teamwork or Leadership / Management: May work individually or as a key member of a senior leadership team. Oversees and monitors performance across several disciplines, and when required, takes steps to resolve issues.
Guidance: Provides expert guidance and direction to Government and Vendor senior level technicians and managers. Directs multiple contractor and subcontractors’ teams through to project completion.
Performing complex system development, design, integration, and sustainment of Tanium systems for new or existing computer systems within an Enterprise.
Developing and documenting configuration standards, policies, and procedures for operating, managing and ensuring the security of a Tanium infrastructure.
Participating in incident, problem, and change management processes related to Tanium.
Providing Tanium O&M and User access.
Planning and directing upgrades and system enhancements.
Developing and implementing testing strategies and documenting results.
Developing documentation on new or existing systems.
Providingsystem/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance.
Serving as liaison with clients, participating in meetings to ensure client needs are met.
Providing guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff.
Communicating with customers and teammates clearly and concisely.
Maintaining current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned and may have supervisory responsibilities.
Participating in special projects as required.
Education and Experience:
HS/GED + 12 years
Associates Degree + 10 years
Bachelor’s Degree + 8 years
Master’s Degree + 6 years
PhD + 4 years
Training and Certifications:
Must be IAT Level 2 compliant
TS/SCI with CI poly
