Job Description
Cloud Support Engineer:
Experienced Cloud Systems Engineer passionate about automation and orchestration to join our growing Cloud Practice. Strong candidates will have a desire to learn and work with new technologies and provide high quality technical support and leadership for transformational application development efforts and teams.
Responsible for the technical design, deployment, monitoring and ongoing support and maintenance of a diverse set of cloud technologies. The role is a technical, hands-on opportunity with a focus on automation, resilient design and deployment of cloud ready systems and services. This role collaborates with Product teams internal and external, to provide world class products and services in support of our application development community and our business as whole.
This is a 'DevOps' position, responsible for the full-stack engineering and support of products that support hybrid cloud capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Leads the design, build and maintenance of modern cloud platforms that support agile teams
Drives continuous improvement of cloud products & capabilities through internal user groups and external market research.
Drives continuous improvement of products & capabilities through internal user groups and external market research
Accountable for developing and implementing complex automation tasks.
Implement Configuration Management and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Chef, CloudFormation, Puppet, Ansible)
Assist with estimating work efforts required for each phase of a project.
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Science / Information Technology, or a related field.
3 to 10+ years Cloud Support Associate
Deep understanding of IP Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SSL/TLS, etc.)
Knowledge of one or more container management tools (Docker, OpenShift Kubernetes)
One or more Web and Application Server technologies (Apache HTTPD, Apache Tomcat, Nginx, Glassfish, JBoss, Puma, Passenger, IIS)
One or more DevOps, Orchestration/Configuration Management and Continuous Integration technology (Chef, Puppet, Jenkins, Ansible)
One or more scripting language (Bash, PowerShell, Ruby, Python, Node.JS)
One or more version control platform (Git, Perforce, SVN, TFVC)
Troubleshooting skills at multiple levels of complexity
Security + Certification
Desired:
Experience managing full application stacks from the OS up through custom applications
Knowledge of AWS and Cloud Computing concepts (preferred experience with AWS Elastic Beanstalk, AWS CloudFormation or AWS OpsWorks)
SCRUM Master
Any Cloud Technical Certification
Security Clearance:
